Terms of Use
The rules and conditions for accessing and using the public Secov website and related content.

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the Secov website and any content, features, or services made available through it (collectively, the "Site"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Your use of the Site is also subject to our Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
Secov ("Secov", "we", "us", or "our") provides a security and compliance platform designed to help organizations manage and automate their compliance programs.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Site, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms, or that you are using the Site with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. If you are accessing the Site on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
3. Use of the Site
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to access and use the Site for your internal business purposes and in accordance with applicable law.
You agree that you will not:
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems, networks, or data related to the Site or our services.
- Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Site or servers or networks connected to the Site.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Site except to the extent permitted by applicable law.
- Use any automated means (such as bots, crawlers, or scrapers) to access the Site, except for standard search engine indexing.
4. Accounts and security
Certain features of the Site may require you to create an account or provide contact information. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
5. Customer agreements
If your organization enters into a separate written agreement with Secov for use of the Secov platform (such as a master subscription agreement and data protection agreement), that agreement will govern the use of our products and services by your organization and its authorized users. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and such an agreement, the terms of the separate agreement will control for the relevant services.
6. Intellectual property
The Site, including all content, text, graphics, logos, icons, images, and software, is owned by or licensed to Secov and is protected by intellectual property and other laws. Except as expressly permitted in these Terms, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Site or create derivative works based on it without our prior written consent.
7. User content and feedback
If you submit or upload any content to the Site (for example, feedback or comments), you grant Secov a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display that content for the purpose of operating, improving, and promoting our Site and services. You are responsible for ensuring that you have all rights necessary to grant this license and that your content does not infringe any third party rights or violate any law.
If you choose to provide feedback or suggestions about Secov, you agree that we may use that feedback without any restriction or obligation to you.
8. Third-party links and services
The Site may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by Secov. We are not responsible for and do not endorse the content or practices of any third-party websites or services. Your use of such websites or services is at your own risk and subject to the terms and policies of those third parties.
9. Confidentiality
In the course of using the Site, you may learn non-public information about Secov or our services that a reasonable person would understand to be confidential. You agree to use such information only for lawful purposes related to your use of the Site and not to disclose it to any third party without our prior written consent, except as required by law.
10. Disclaimers
The Site is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Secov disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or free of harmful components.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Secov and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, or goodwill, resulting from (a) your use of or inability to use the Site; (b) any conduct or content of any third party on or related to the Site; or (c) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your information.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claims arising out of or relating to the Site or these Terms will be limited to the greater of (i) the amount you have paid to us, if any, for use of the Site during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (ii) one hundred (100) US dollars.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Secov and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law or rights of a third party.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or otherwise engaged in conduct that could harm Secov, our customers, or others. Upon termination, your right to use the Site will immediately cease.
14. Governing law
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the Site will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles, unless a different governing law is specified in a separate written agreement with Secov. You agree that any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site after any changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
